Well this has proven to be a HUGE task! I had way too much fun taking these pictures and it is not much fun at all to try to weed them out and pick the best. At times I feel that I am trying to choose the best of some that aren't all that good to begin with and at times I feel that there is no way I can choose just one. PLEASE feel free and obligated to give me feedback. {I really can't do this alone!} I have divided the photos into 3 different posts and these are the first ones:

Thank goodness we had a back up plan! At the last minute we decided to buy a costume just in case we weren't in San Antonio for Halloween.... here she is, Dorothy with her little dog Toto!

I only got a couple of good/decent shots at the game last week.....we were told that we might get worse before we get better while transitioning from full auto to full manual.....these pictures are proof of that!! I had just gotten my 50 mm lens that afternoon and while I had fun playing with it, I am definitely on a big learning curve!
This was the week that the little girls from the Cheer Camp got to go out on the track and cheer for the first half of the game! She had a ton of fun and thought she was pretty big!!
Tanner is 'front and center'! He has been pretty visible to his photographing mom both weeks....I hope he is for the whole show!
These are the last of the photos that I shot while taking my class....I am so sad that it is over but so excited with the knowledge I gained. I am finding myself looking everywhere for great shot locations and evaluating the lighting every place I go. I am so excited to go back through the material again at my own slower pace and process everything!

We had a great time on Sunday after church....we went to Wonderland! Here are the highlights of our day in photos:
Sara first rode this roller coaster with me. The ENTIRE time we were riding she kept saying "I can't wait to ride this with my dad!"
Mom had to ride the 'spinny' rides with her and dad did a great job with the camera! Finally, I have a couple of good shots with mom & daughter!
We tried to get her to ride this when we first got there and she wouldn't even consider it. When we were leaving and completely over heated she decided to give it a try. She did it about 6 times before we had to make her quit! Most definitely the favorite of the day!
Love, love, love this technique. Not sure that I am doing it the way the professionals do it, but can you tell any difference? I think some photographers refer to this as 'A Touch of Color'. That is what I call it anyway!
